Sky Bet: Last-gasp Celtic Goal Wins Customer £149,000
Champagne corks were popping in Pontefract on Sunday after a 91st minute Celtic goal translated into a £148,818.01 payday for one lucky Sky Bet customer.
The shrewd customer won the princely sum from just a £10 football accumulator by successfully predicting the winner of no less than thirteen Scottish football matches.
And the late goal at Parkhead wasn’t the only stroke of luck for the punter. Stenhousemuir goalkeeper, Kieron Renton, saved a last-gasp penalty, not only ensuring victory for his team but also keeping the accumulator running.
