Paddy Power will refund all losing bets on Munster following their agonisingly close encounter with the mighty All Blacks.
The Munster faithful had backed their team at odds as big as 10/1 before kick off, and as short as 8/11 just before the killer blow – the All Blacks were hot 1/33 favourites at the start.
Paddy Power will refund just shy of €40,000 which was bet on an unlikely Munster victory.
Paddy Power said, “It was gut-wrenching. Anyone who backed Munster didn’t care about the money, it was all about the win – and you don’t get much closer than that. Hopefully getting their money back will help put a smile back on their proud faces – I wonder what those Munster lads are doing on Saturday afternoon!”
