Paddy Power reports that, up to this stage of the Championships, one in three punters have backed Murray to win Wimbledon – a figure surely set to only increase should he beat Andy Roddick on Friday. Murray is currently 5/2 to go all the way at SW19.

The bookie is offering odds of just 3/10 that Murray wins his semi-final against big serving American Andy Roddick with Murray 13/8 to repeat the straight sets victory he enjoyed in the Quarter Finals. However its 9/2 the Scottish ace comes through victorious in another nail-biting five set thriller.

Roddick himself is 12/5 to win the match and 7/1 for a 3-2 win.

Paddy Power said: “One in three is a staggering level of support, especially when the greatest player of all time Roger Federer is still in the mix and looking in imperious form.”

In the other semi-final Federer is, not surprisingly, hot favourite to win at 1/12 and 8/13 to win in straight sets. Tommy Haas is 6/1 to cause an upset.
