Lewis Hamilton has got off to a great start in China, clocking the fastest time in both opening practice sessions and Sky Bet make the Brit 12/5 to win from pole position on Sunday. The pole sitter has gone on to win the race seven times already this season. Hamilton is 4/11 to qualify on the front row in Shanghai (2/1 not to have a front-row start) and 8/15 to out-qualify his main title rival, Felipe Massa (11/8). Sky Bet have cut Hamilton’s odds of winning in China from 7/4 to 6/4 and he is 11/2 to pull off a race ‘hat-trick’ by starting on pole, winning the race and recording the fastest lap.

Hamilton goes into this weekend’s penultimate GP with a five point lead in the Drivers’ Championship standings and can take the title in China if he scores six points more than Felipe Massa. Sky Bet now make the Englishman 9/2 to clinch the title on Sunday. It’s 8/13 for the Brit to seal victory in the last race in Brazil, 5/2 for Massa to win the Championship on home soil in São Paulo and 20/1 for Robert Kubica, currently trailing Hamilton by 12 points, to pull off a shock title victory in Brazil.
