Ashton 6/4 To Be First Hammer Out
As West Ham plunge further into crisis the club have admitted that they will need to shed players in the January transfer window and Sky Bet are offering odds on who will be the first player sold, with injury prone Dean Ashton heading the market at 6/4. Goalkeeper Robert Green is 3/1 second favourite to be shipped out first, with Matthew Upson quoted at 5/1 and Scott Parker at 7/1.
Sky Bet have cut the Hammers’ odds of playing Championship football next season from 12/1 to 8/1. Currently lying 6th in the table with 12 points, their odds of a top-half finish have lengthened to evens from 5/6 (4/5 bottom half finish). Sky Bet offer 5/6 that the Upton Park side accrue over 46.5 points in the league this season.
West Ham could be hit with a compensation payout of over £30 million over the Carlos Tevez affair. Currently on a two year loan deal, Tevez is 4/7 still to be a Red Devils player at the start of next season and 5/4 to have left the club.Sky Bet Odds: Next West Ham Player to be Sold
