(expired)Europa League 2010-11: Betting update 30 Jul 2010
Sky Bet have cut Liverpool’s odds to 10/1 (from 12/1) to win the Europa League this season after Roy Hodgson’s men overcame FK Rabotnicki 2-0 in the third qualifying round first leg.
Big spending Manchester City, who will be looking to claim their first piece of European silverware since lifting the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1970, are Sky Bet’s 6/1 favourites to lift the trophy. Italian giants Juventus are 10/1 and current holders Atletico Madrid are 14/1.
The Premier League’s other representative Aston Villa are 25/1 to win the competition.
Sky Bet’s Tim Reynolds said: “It was great to see Roy Hodgson gain a win in his first competitive match in charge especially after deciding to leave all his World Cup players behind. Hodgson is proven on the European circuit but he will have to get the best out of his players, if he’s going to guide Liverpool to European glory.”
