They’ve only been married a little over six months but Paddy Power are betting Katie Price and her new hubby Alex Reid’s days as husband and wife could be numbered.
After new pictures emerged in the tabloids of Katie looking rather cosy with boxing champ Amir Khan Paddy Power are quoting odds of 11/10 that Jordan and Alex will call it a day before the year is out.
Even if Jordan and her cage fighter hubby make it past Christmas the odds on the marriage lasting anything beyond one or two years don’t look too good. Paddy Power are betting 9/4 the pair will split within the first year and 2/1 they’ll deliver a knock out blow to their nuptials in the next eighteen months.
Love struck Alex will no doubt want to fight to save his marriage but despite weighing in over 44lbs heavier than Light Welterweight Amir he’s 10/1 with Paddy Power to overcome the 23 year-old champ in a mythical boxing match!
The odds on Jordan hooking up with Amir Khan and dating the Olympic champ next is 8/1 while Paddy Power think it’s far more likely she may reconcile with first hubby Peter Andre at 7/2. Former love Dane Bowers is 5/1 to date the glamour model turned businesswoman next while Prince William is the royal rank outsider at 500/1.
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power, said: “Nothing is straight forward in the life of Katie Price. The latest pictures might be innocent enough but with rumours of trouble already brewing in the pairs’ marriage they’re unlikely to help matters. It was pictures like these which proved too much for first hubby Peter Andre.” (more…)
For the first time in UFC history two Hall of Famers will come face to face at UFC 109 Relentless. Randy “The Natural” Couture (1/5) will take on Mark “The Hammer” Coleman (3/1 & 33/1 Draw) in a match where the combined ages of the two is 91! The pair were scheduled to meet at UFC 17 in 1998, but a Couture injury forced the cancellation of the bout.
Sky Bet MMA betting spokesman Simon McMinn said: “Randy’s superior fitness should see him through this tough fight but he cannot afford to take Coleman lightly, he will try to keep the fight standing up to avoid Coleman’s ground and pound game”
Also on the card is the Middleweight eliminator between Nate Marquardt (1/4) and Chael Sonnen (5/2 & 33/1 Draw). Marquardt will be looking at another shot at Anderson Silva’s belt and is short price favourite to set up a meeting against the Winner of Silva v Belfort. (more…)
Internet sensation Kimbo Slice will make his official Octagon debut tomorrow night at The Palms in Las Vegas as he takes on knockout specialist Houston Alexander in one of the main card fights at The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights Finale.
For many years now people have wanted to see the former street brawler in the UFC rather than watching him on Youtube and he will start against Houston Alexander, who knocked Keith Jardine out in 48 seconds of their match.
Sky Bet make Slice, who has cut weight to fight for the first time in his life, 7/4 to beat 37-year-old Alexander (2/5, draw 33/1).
Sky Bet’s UFC betting spokesman Simon McMinn said: “Don’t expect this fight to go the full three rounds. Both fighters like to stand up and throw punches and this will not be a fight for the faint-hearted. Alexander has only ever gone the distance once out of his 14 pro-fights.” (more…)
