Paul McCartney’s former wife Heather Mills is setting her sights on Paralympic Gold. The charity campaigner and ex model with a colourful past is training day and night with the hope of joining the British Paralympic Alpine Skiing team when they travel to Russia in 2014.

Heather, who is currently training at the Mölltaler Glacier, is determined to bring back a gold medal but bookies Paddy Power aren’t so sure she has what it takes to go the distance.

While the odds on her travelling to Sochi with the British team look good at 6/1, the odds on her actually collecting a medal, be it gold, silver or bronze look slim at 66/1.

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power, explained: “We’re sure Heather is a fantastic skier and you have to admire her determination but Great Britain’s Paralympic Ski team are not far off Olympic standard. They’re professional dedicated athletes who have been training for years and years. The standard in Britain and abroad is very high indeed so you could say she hasn’t got a leg to stand on!” (more…)
