Craps Winning Strategies – Hints And Tips

Playing Craps in an online casino is an exciting time particularly if you are winning! The odds of winning at Craps can arguably be increased if you have a good understanding of them. This therefore will probably influence your bet and consequently lead to bets on more winning rolls. Winning at Craps takes patience and focus so to be a serious player these two attributes need to be taken into consideration.

You can’t deny that Craps looks like a difficult game to understand however it is quite easy to get the hang of. There are a number of Craps strategies and Craps tips that players will use to try and beat the ‘house’. To start with, play simple and make ‘pass line’ bets. A ‘pass line’ bet has a low house advantage and taking into account that there are approximately 40 bets that can be placed in Craps, it is good to start with this. Another one of the popular Craps strategies when playing online only is the ‘don’t pass line’ bet. This is the opposite to the ‘pass line’ bet and works better online because you are only looking to beat the ‘house’ and not other players like in a land based casino.

One of the best Craps tips that players can take on board at a table is that you need to be observant and have knowledge of when the dice are ‘hot’ even though, with each casino game there is of course an element of luck. Knowing that the dice are ‘hot’ could give you that winning edge!

Roulette Rules

The most popular casino game.

Guess where the number a ball will land on a spinning wheel. Possible bets include guessing the exact number the ball will land on, the colour of the number(red or black), whether the number will be odd or even.

Craps Rules

Let us show you how to play this exciting game.

Played with 2 dice, and consists of 2 phases: the coming out phase and the point phase.

If you bet on ‘pass’ you want a 7 or 11 in the coming out phase. This is because you automatically win if this happens. If a 2,3 or 12 is rolled you lose(these numbers are called craps). If you roll any other number(i.e. 4,5,6,8,9,10) this number becomes the ‘point’ The ‘point’ phase will consist of as many rolls as necessary until a 7 is rolled. In the ‘point’ phase the ‘point’ must come up again before the 7 comes up. If it does you win, if it doesn’t and the 7 comes up first you loose.

You can also bet on ‘don’t pass’ which is the opposite bet to a ‘pass’ bet. You win on a 2,3 or 12 and lose on a 7 or 11. Once a ‘point’ has been established, you win if a 7 is rolled before the ‘point’ is repeated.

Blackjack Rules

Get closer to 21 points, without going over, than the dealer to win!

Get dealt a higher hand than the dealer, without going bust. That is to say your hand must be 21 points or less, but higher than the dealers hand. Suits do not have any relevance in blackjack. All cards are worth their face value(e.g. the 3 of Spades is worth 3 points), with the exception of the following:J,Q & K = 10 pointsA = 1 or 11 points(whichever suits your hand)

A score of 21 made up from exactly 2 cards is called a ‘blackjack.’ This is the ultimate hand, and beats every other hand except another ‘blackjack.’ If you have a ‘blackjack’ and the dealer has scored 21 but from more than 2 cards, you still win, as he doesn’t have a blackjack(which must comprise of exactly 2 cards). Obviously the only way to have a b’blackjack’ is to be holding a card worth 10 points(10,J,K,Q) and an A(which you will choose to count as 11 points).Example of a blackjack(21 points from exactly 2 cards)You must place a bet before any cards are dealt to play. You then get 2 cards face up. The dealer also gets 2 cards(but only 1 is face up). Look at the total score of your 2 cards. Remember, you have to get as close to 21 without going over, but also beating the dealer. You have a clue as to how the dealer is going to fare, because you can see 1 of his cards. You can now ‘hit’ – that is to say take another card, or ‘stand’ – stick with what you have. You can ‘hit’ as many times as you want, but if you go over 21 the dealer wins automatically, without having to draw any cards. When you have decided not to not take any further cards, and your total is 21 or under, the dealer then reveals his face down card. If his hand now has a score of 17 or more, he must ‘stand’ – i.e. he cannot take any further cards. If his hand is 16 or less, he must ‘hit’ until his hand has a score of 17 or more. If the dealer goes ‘bust’ whilst doing this, you win!If you win, you get back your stake, plus the same amount again(i.e. 1 to 1 or evens). If you get a ‘blackjack’ you get paid your stake, plus ½ times this again(i.e. 3 to 2). However, if the dealer also gets a ‘blackjack’ when you do, this is called a ‘push’. Nobody wins or loses, and you get your stake back.

Roulette – A simple system

Roulette is a game of pure chance, but you can use the following tips to give yourself the maximum edge.

Red/Black, Odd/Even or High/Low

These bets involve you choosing a set of 18 numbers. If you bet on a red, any of the 18 red numbers will mean you double your money, and any of the 18 black numbers will mean you lose your stake. Start off with a bet of $X dollars. If you win, pocket the winnings and re-bet the stake again, until you lose. If you lose, start off with another $X, and repeat. Remember the casino has an advantage in that it also wins on a 0 and 00, so your chance of winning is slightly less then evens.

Roulette: Tips for real world casinos

Biased wheels and dealer signatures can help you predict the fall of the ball in roulette.

Biased Wheels
Watch for a biased wheel. A biased wheel is one where one number occurs more frequently than it should otherwise. This can be due to a mechanical flaw that has developed over time. You can spot a biased wheel by watching the numbers that come up, and see if one number consistently comes up more often than others. Remember casinos, are also watching out for biased wheels!

Dealer Signature
Some dealers release the ball on the wheel with exactly the same speed and trajectory, spinning the wheel at the same speed each time as well. If they do this it is possible to make a prediction as to where the ball will land, at least within a general area, if not the exact number.

True Odds Bets In Craps

In craps you can place a true odds bet – this means you can get paid at the exact odds of the chance of your winning your bet – the casino makes no profit.

Blackjack Hints

If you play blackjack without any prior knowledge, you might as well be throwing your money down the drain. Based on probabilities, there are optimum things you should do based on your cards, compared to the dealer’s upcard. The good thing is, it doesn’t take long to learn these simple rules.

a) ‘hit’ with a total of 11 or less, regardless of what the dealer is holding.
b) ‘stand’ with a total of 17 or more, regardless of what the dealer is holding.
c) if your total is between 12 and 16, then your decision depends on the dealer’s face up card:
- if it’s 2 to 6, ‘stand’
- if it’s 7 to A, ‘hit’

Advanced Bets
‘Double Down’ You are allowed to double your initial bet, but you make a sacrifice – you must take exactly 1 more card. Hint: ‘Double down’ if your score is 11. however this doesn’t apply if the dealer has A or 10.

‘Split’ If you have a pair from your first 2 cards, you may split them into 2 hands and play them separately. You must place a new bet, of exactly the same value as your initial bet for the 1st hand on the 2nd hand. Hint: ‘split’ your cards if you have A-A or 8-8. However never ‘split’ 10-10,5-5 or 4-4

Always Split A-A or 9-8

‘Insurance’ If the dealer shows an A as his face up card, you are offered insurance. This is because there is a strong possibility of a ‘blackjack’. If his face down card is any of 10,J,Q,K he has a ‘blackjack’ If you take insurance you will have to pay ½ your original bet for this. If it turns out the dealer has ‘blackjack’ you are paid 2 to 1. Hint: NEVER take insurance – there is a huge house advantage at the odds paid out, and it is not worth taking under any circumstances!
