Former Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton is the hot favourite to be Peter Andre’s next girlfriend following news that Jordan’s ex has declared himself back on the market.
Bookie Paddy Power has ‘priced up’ Andre’s next companion with the front-runners mostly hailing from the reality TV circles that have bought the singer so much success.
Jordan has already accused Andre and Chantelle of being together, compelling Paddy Power, on the basis of no smoke without fire, to install Houghton as the 6/4 favourite. Chantelle is followed in the betting by current Big Brother housemate Sophie Reade at 6/1 whilst Danielle Lloyd completes the hat-trick of enhanced wannabes at 14/1, despite her current dalliance with footballer Jamie O’Hara.
With Jordan often complaining in the past of Pete’s fondness for dancers, Strictly Come Dancing head turners Flavia and Kristina are 8/1 and 12/1, respectively, whilst new judge Alesha Dixon is 18/1. Sophie Price, Katie’s sister, is 20/1 whilst Andre’s ex Laura Vasquez looks to be at big odds for a return at 25/1.
Sharon McHugh, Paddy Power’s showbiz betting expert, said: “With Pete putting himself back on the market there is likely to be no shortage of ladies looking for some head-line grabbing romance – and the clamour from the fame hungry hordes could make it a lively betting market.” (more…)
With the news that reality TV heavyweight Big Brother is to be axed after next year’s series bookies Paddy Power are taking bets on which reality TV show is next for the chop.
And according to Paddy Power it looks like bad news could be in store for ITV golden boys Ant & Dec as “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!” tops the betting at odds of 7/4. Also in the firing line according to Paddy Power is ITV’s “Dancing On Ice” at odds of 7/4 and BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing” at 2/1.
Paddy Power said “The only big surprise for me is that Big Brother’s run lasted this long. Punters definitely switched off a couple of year’s ago with only a handful of bets placed on this year’s series”
Paddy Power are also taking bets on which TV programme Davina McCall’s will host first after Big Brother’s final series next year. ITV’s lunchtime programme “Loose Women” is their 3/1 favourite followed by breakfast TV show “This Morning” at 7/2. Less likely hosting duties for Davina include “Crime Watch” at 66/1 or “Countdown” at 80/1. (more…)
Proving that not even death can keep her out of the spotlight for long, celebrity betting specialists Paddy Power are offering odds on who will play the title role of Jade Goody in the much talked about musical honouring the life of the tragic 27-year-old reality TV star.
Emmy Award-nominated Scottish actress Ashley Jensen is the bookies 3/1 favourite to land the role. Other in the frame include Eastenders actress Michelle Ryan at 4/1 and Dr Who’s former assistant Billie Piper at odds of 6/1. Less likely candidates according to Paddy Power include Dame Helen Mirren and Jade’s old Big Brother sparing partner Shilpa Shetty both at 100/1
Paddy Power said “The tragic story of Jade Goody touched the hearts of millions and what more fitting tribute to her colourful but sadly brief life than a musical?” (more…)
EastEnders and Ant & Dec are hotly tipped to be this year’s biggest winners at the National Television Awards but they’re not the only ones commanding attention.
Irish X Factor twins John and Edward are set to be the stars of the show when they take to the stage to perform for the first time since getting the boot from the popular TV3 talent show.
Bookies Paddy Power are betting Wednesday night’s performance will be just the start of things to come for the cheeky twosome. The Lucan lads are now just 5/4 with the bookie to top the charts this year, 14/1 to receive a standing ovation at the awards ceremony and there are even 33/1 odds available on the pair to become more popular than Ant & Dec and win the award for Most Popular Entertainment Presenter in 2011!
That’s providing their big night goes off without a hitch. The odds on the boys suffering a wardrobe malfunction at the NTA’s and splitting their trousers again is 8/1!
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “There’s been lots of hype surrounding the twins’ up-coming performance and if 2010 goes to plan there’s a good chance they’ll be collecting the awards themselves next year as opposed to performing. Ant & Dec better watch their backs!” (more…)
Geordie genii Ant and Dec are the bookies red-hot favourites to win their ninth consecutive award for Best TV presenters at the National TV Awards on 20 January.
Bookies Paddy Power make the nations favourite hosts just 1/4 to bag the award while their popular show ‘The Saturday Night Takeaway’ is also short odds at 11/10 to beat The Paul O’Grady Show, Big Brother and Ant and Dec’s other TV gem ‘I’m A Celebrity’ to the accolade.
In other categories, David Tenant looks set to take the gong for Best Drama Performance for his role as the Doctor while ‘Doctor Who’ itself is 1/3 to win Best Drama. EastEnders Lacey Turner is the 5/4 tip to walk away with the Best Serial Drama Performance for her challenging role as Stacey Slater while EastEnders is 4/6 to beat rivals Corrie and Emmerdale in the Best Serial Drama category.
The most hotly contested category looks to be in the Best Talent Show where both Simon Cowell’s X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent will battle it out with Strictly Come Dancing to be crowned King.
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “These really are the awards that matter as they’re completely voted for by the public. It will be a case of déjà vu for Ant and Dec who are heading for their ninth win but the other categories could still throw up a few surprises!” (more…)
20 year-old glamour model from Cheshire, Sophie “Dogface” Reade is the bookies red-hot favourite to be crowned the queen of the Big Brother house in tomorrow nights grand finale to BB 10.
Sophie replaced fellow housemate Siavash as Paddy Power’s favourite in mid-August and has since grown in popularity with punters which has resulted in her odds being chopped from 5/4 to heavily odds-on, 2/9.
Siavash, on the other hand, has seen his odds shift in the opposite direction and has been relegated to 9/2 second favourite by Paddy Power followed by Rodrigo at 9/1, Charlie at 14/1 and Dave at a 50/1.
Paddy Power said, “Sophie is one of the shortest price favourites of any Big Brother series and punters are continuing to back her even at these very short odds. In racing parlance it looks like Dogface is well and truly home and hosed.”
Paddy Power are also betting on the numbers of viewers that tune in live to Channel 4 for tomorrow nights final. They make a total audience of between 4m to 4.5m viewers their 9/4 favourite.

Big Brother beauty Noirin is the red-hot favourite at 8/13 to get the chop this Friday when she goes head-to-head with her former best friend in the latest Big Brother eviction.
Lovesick Marcus has been sulking with Dubliner Noirin ever since she locked lips with fellow housemate Siavash but despite his whining punters are opting to put their cash on Noirin getting the bullet instead.
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power, said: “Our punters have had enough of Noirin and even though Marcus has been acting like a spoilt child they’d sooner put up with his moaning than have to suffer another week of her!”
And with the sudden departure of Tom last week Big Brother bosses are supposedly lining up Noirin’s ex on the outside world, Isaac Stout to replace him in the Big Brother house. It’s odds-on at 8/15 with Paddy Power that Noirin’s hunky ex enters the house this week.
Meanwhile Freddie, aka Halfwit is still the 13/8 favourite to win the 2009 series of Big Brother.

Bookies Paddy Power are pledging to refund bets placed on this weeks Big Brother eviction following the news that one of this year’s housemates has escaped via the roof.
Self-proclaimed “international playboy” Kenny left the house after stating “his heart wasn’t at peace”. The 24 year-old boyfriend of former housemate Karly had been the 1/7 favourite to get the chop this Friday but his sudden departure has forced Channel 4 to cancel this week’s eviction and bookies Paddy Power will instead refund all money taken on the eviction market.
A walkout might seem like the easy option, but life isn’t expected to be too much easier for Kenneth on the outside. Paddy Power are quoting just 4/6 that girlfriend Karly will call it a day with her jet-setting beau. His flirting in the house will no doubt have got to her and in recent days the FHM High Street honey was spotted stroking the knee of former fellow housemate Kris on a night out!
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power, said: “Kenny probably saved himself a lot of embarrassment by walking from the Big Brother house but it’s left a lot of our punters with lost bets. The fairest thing to do is to refund all money, and hope that Karly kicks him to the kerb!”
Meanwhile Freddie, aka Halfwit is still the 7/4 red-hot favourite to win the 2009 series of Big Brother, while Dubliner Noirin looks out of the running at 22/1. Marcus is the 15/8 red-hot favourite to get the boot next. (more…)
