(expired)All Blacks 6/1 For Record Victory at Twickenham
Saturday sees England take on the mighty All Blacks, who are going for the grand slam over the home nations. England suffered their biggest home defeat ever at the hands of South Africa last Saturday when they were thrashed by 36 points and Sky Bet quote 6/1 for Martin Johnson’s misery to be compounded by an even bigger losing margin against New Zealand. New Zealand have not conceded a try in their wins over Scotland, Ireland and Wales this month and Sky Bet are offering 11/8 for Graham Henry’s side not to concede a try when the two sides line-up at Twickenham. It’s 14/1 for the All Blacks to win to nil.
The only major line-up change from last weekend’s humiliating drubbing is the inclusion of Leicester’s Toby Flood at fly-half instead of Danny Cipriani and Sky Bet are offering 5/6 for Flood, who will earn his 22nd cap, to score under 8.5 points (5/6 over 8.5 points) in the match.
Since his appointment as England boss, Martin Johnson has led England to a comfortable win against the Pacific Islanders but gone on to suffer a 28-14 loss to Australia and a drubbing at the hands of the Springboks. Sky Bet are offering odds on when Johnson will next get a win and quote 7/1 for a surprise victory over the world’s number one team this weekend and 1/16 for his next win to be over Italy in England’s Six Nations opener.
The other international this weekend sees Wales take on Australia in Cardiff. Wales who have only one win against Canada in the Autumn Internationals, are 6/4 to inflict a defeat on the world champions and 10/11 to beat Australia with a handicap start of five points (10/11 Australia -5 points & 16/1 handicap draw).
